India’s cultural and heritage requires a modern approach to preservation and accessibility. With increasing digital transformation, there is a need for an interactive platform that documents and promotes India’s diverse culture, tourism, and achievements. This research presents a web-based system that catalogs all states and districts of India, highlighting their heritage, culture, tourism, cuisine, handicrafts, and adventures. The platform integrates an admin panel with dynamic data management for the Achievements of India section, leveraging React.js, Node.js, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The system provides a user-friendly interface, interactive media, and a scalable architecture to ensure long-term sustainability. This paper discusses the methodology, technological implementation, and impact of this project in preserving India’s cultural richness through digital means. Additionally, the study explores the role of AI, virtual reality, and multilingual adaptation in future expansions.
Introduction
Overview
India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage spans thousands of years, but much of this legacy remains scattered or underrepresented online. This research proposes the development of a comprehensive digital repository and interactive web platform that documents and promotes India’s history, culture, achievements, cuisine, festivals, and tourism using modern web technologies.
Key Objectives
Digitally preserve and present cultural data at national, state, and district levels.
Engage users through multimedia (videos, images, interactive maps).
Promote tourism and cultural awareness both domestically and globally.
Enable dynamic updates through an admin panel and CMS for recent national achievements and cultural additions.
System Architecture
Frontend: React.js
Backend: Node.js & Express.js
Database: MySQL (and MongoDB for scalable cultural data)
CMS: Allows non-technical admins to manage content dynamically
Designed for scalability, with future plans for AI, virtual tours, and multilingual support.
Platform Features
State & District Pages: Include information on local traditions, cuisine, art, and tourism, supported by videos and interactive maps.
