Women are facing increasing levels of harassment nowadays, which is deeply concerning. The situation is extremely serious in both developing and developing countries. It harms both human progress and a country’s economy. By pressing the emergency button ensures quick and complete safety help for women. In the incident occurs, the system tracks the users location in real time and alerts the police and volunteers. This device will also provide the user with the location of the nearest safe zone. Furthermore, this interface can be used both online and offline. If the user does not have access to the internet, the computer can also be used to contact the nearest police station and volunteer assistance. Arduino uno, GPS, GSM, Bluetooth, and more making it both costly and easy to use at home.
Introduction
Rice Starch Characteristics and Uses:
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a globally important staple crop, primarily composed of starch made up of 70–80% amylopectin and 20–30% amylose. Rice starch is valued in food and industrial sectors due to its neutral taste, smooth texture, hypoallergenic and gluten-free nature. It is widely applied in food products like baby foods, sauces, and gluten-free items, as well as in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, textiles, and paper industries.
Rice starch extracted via an alkaline method showed high purity (99.03% starch) with minimal residual alkali. Functional tests revealed high freeze-thaw stability, good gelatinization, retrogradation behavior, and excellent thickening and pasting abilities, making it ideal for food thickening and industrial uses.
Women’s Safety and Security Device Development:
With rising incidents of abuse and assaults against women, especially as women increasingly work late and travel alone, there is a pressing need for simple, effective safety devices. Many existing systems use technologies such as GPS, GSM, microcontrollers, sensors, and smartphone apps to send emergency alerts, track location, and notify contacts.
This project proposes a smart, portable safety device using a Raspberry Pi integrated with temperature, heart rate sensors, GPS, and camera modules. The system can be manually triggered by pressing a button or automatically activated through voice commands like saying “help.” Once triggered, it sends alerts with location and captured images to family or authorities. The device also includes a buzzer for audible warnings and an OLED display for status updates.
The prototype demonstrated accurate GPS tracking, effective SMS alert delivery via GSM, and reliable alert signaling through a buzzer, powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, showcasing a promising solution for enhancing women’s security using IoT technology.
Conclusion
The main goal of creating a woman protection device is to act as a rescue and avoid any harm to women in the event of a hazard. A smart device for women\'s protection is planned using the proposed system, which automates the emergency warning system. This device detects and sends warnings to loved ones with the women\'s position coordinates without requiring her intervention in critical situations. It immediately sends an emergency alert to the family members and the nearest police station. The prototype can be carried in a variety of bags, including handbags and laptop bags. Carrying the prototype in these bags is recommended because the individual attempting to injure you might not be aware of your presence.
