Introduction
Blockchain technology has transformed global finance by supporting decentralized, transparent, and secure digital transactions. Cryptocurrencies, built on blockchain, have become widely popular, but existing centralized trading platforms (such as Binance, Coinbase, and WazirX) still face issues including data breaches, phishing attacks, high fees, and lack of transparency. Centralized exchanges store sensitive data and private keys on third-party servers, creating single points of failure and contradicting blockchain’s decentralized philosophy. To ensure user trust and long-term sustainable growth of crypto trading, secure and decentralized web-based platforms are necessary.
A review of existing platforms and studies shows increasing interest in combining blockchain with AI to improve transparency and trading efficiency. Cryptex aims to simplify the user experience with a lightweight, accessible web application.
To understand the current research landscape, a systematic mapping study was conducted following the methodology of Petersen et al. (2015). The study focused on broad research questions to identify and categorize existing work on cryptocurrency trading. The process comprised three stages: planning, collecting and selecting publications, and classifying the accepted literature.
The proposed Cryptex system includes three core components: Frontend, Backend, and Database.
The frontend, built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, provides user interfaces for registration, login, trading, charts, and portfolio viewing.
The backend manages authentication, wallet operations, order execution, and secure API-based communication with strong error and session management.
The database module (using MySQL or MongoDB) securely stores user and transaction data with encryption to ensure privacy and data protection.
Conclusion
The rapid growth of cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based financialsystemshashighlightedthecriticalneedforsecureand transparent trading environments. This research introduced Cryptex,aweb-basedplatformforsecurecryptocurrencytrading, designedtoaddressthemajorchallengesassociatedwithexisting centralized exchanges, including security vulnerabilities, data breaches, and lack of transparency. The system emphasizes user security through the integration of encryption algorithms, multi- factor authentication, and blockchain verification techniques.
