Nevertheless, several obstacles need to be addressed to fully harness the transformative potential of ICT in education. Infrastructure limitations, privacy concerns, and resistance to change are among the key challenges faced by educators and policymakers (Ertmer & Ottenbreit-Leftwich, 2013). The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 acknowledges the pivotal role played by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in shaping contemporary education. Through the incorporation of ICT, the policy aims to augment the efficacy and fairness of education. NEP 2020 underscores the significance of digital literacy, envisioning an education ecosystem enriched by technology to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The policy champions the widespread adoption of digital tools, online learning platforms, and interactive resources, fostering greater accessibility and inclusivity in education. By infusing ICT, NEP 2020 strives to narrow the digital gap, ensuring students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds enjoy equal access to high-quality education. This deliberate integration of technology is poised to transform the educational landscape, equipping students for the challenges of the 21st century and advancing a more just and efficient educational system.
